Plant Guarantee
Our guarantee to our customers is that you will receive healthy vigorous plants that will transplant into your landscape successfully and prosper. If your plant fails within the season shipped, you may choose to have a one time plant replacement (if it is available from our inventory), a comparably priced plant selection, or a credit for the cost of the plants. |

Shipping charges are non-refundable. No gardener wants to lose plants, including our own growers. Sometimes, however, despite our best gardening efforts, plants can die.
We cannot guarantee plant loss or damage caused by severe weather, animals or neglect, or plants sent to areas beyond their listed hardiness zones. (USDA Hardiness Zone Map)
Credits and refunds may take 7 to 10 days to process.
In the rare case you have a plant problem, it is not necessary to return plants that have failed. Just notify us by postal mail or email. Please include your customer and order number from the sheet shipped with your plants. Indicate whether you would like a credit, replacement or refund.
We're happy to help you! We value the plants we sell and the customers we service.
Our liability is limited to the cost of the plants and will not cover any incidentals due to plant losses. |
Planting and Shipping Times
We ship all plants at the correct time for their Zone unless requested otherwise.
Our grower ships plants throughout the continental U.S. on a year-round basis. Since some of our customers have the ability to grow in greenhouses and other controlled environments, they often order plants at times when planting in that area is not recommended. It is the gardener's responsibility to be aware of local zone and temperature conditions if asking for a ship time other then the best time for their Zone.

Back Orders
Plants are a perishable product and while we grow many varieties throughout the year, not all of our plants are on hand and ready to ship throughout the year. We can ship 'some of the plants all of the time,' 'all of the plants some of the time,' but we can't ship 'all of the plants all of the time.' We will back-order those not currently ready with no additional shipping charge for the later date shipment. We try to keep our online inventory as accurate as possible. |
How we Ship
All plant product ship via United Parcel Service 'Commercial' ground (2 to 3 day transit time maximum). Because our growers are only human and can only package so many plants in a few days time, by the weekend they stop booking orders for the following week's shipping. When the cutoff is made, that week will no longer be an option in the shipping week selection list during checkout.

You can pre-book your order as far in advance as you like. Some gardeners prefer to order fall and spring plants early and get a confirmed ship date.
Shipping Schedule
In order for the quality plants that our growers grow to be the same quality plants that arrive at your door, they take extra care to arrange the shipping schedule to avoid excessive days in the box. UPS counts only work days (Monday - Friday) in their shipping cycle. They also do not count the day of shipping. Based on this, a plant could ship on Wednesday and arrive on Monday as a legitimate 3 Day shipment. This amounts to 6 days in the box . . . too long for plants under most conditions. Our growers ship all plants on Monday and Tuesday of each week, so that plant shipments will arrive by Friday with no weekend travel in the box. The result is a better plant arriving at your door.
Plant Shipments to CA, AZ, HI, and AK
Due to specific agricultural restrictions in different states, we are unable to ship every plant to every state.
We are able to ship all plants to CA with the exception of ornamental grasses.
We are unable to ship to AZ and HI at this time.
AK shipments may be subject to additional shipping charges. |
